John 19 and 20

Hey all :)

We missed half of our class today, and only three people were there at 7:05. I hope that all those who were out sick will be able to recover quickly, and know that you are missed. And for those who stumbled in a little late, may you make a special effort to come on time so that we can make the best use of our time given together :) your reading for tonight is:

John 19 and 20

As in Luke, we learn more about the conversations between Pilate and Christ. It seems that Pilate is sympathetic to Christ, so why do you believe he would scourge Christ? Also, what do we learn about the sign hung above Christ? Who made it? Why do you believe they made this based on the conversation recorded in John 19?
