Luke 1

Hey all :)

We made it to Luke! Remember Luke was writing about Christ as the Son of Man, really making a point to highlight his humanity. So your reading tonight is:

Luke 1

Both Zacharias and Mary were visited by an angel and given bold declarations. How did they each react? How were their blessing affected by their acceptance of the invitations given by Gabriel? How do we often react when asked of the Lord to perform certain things like callings in the church, or invitations by church leaders?

Hope to see you all tomorrow!

Mark 15

Hello all :)

Hope you had a great long weekend :) Your reading for tonight is:

Mark 15

Please also look up Isaiah 53:3-7

What did Isaiah prophesy? Where do we find the fulfillment of that prophecy in Mark?

Also, what more do we learn about Barabbas in Mark, then we did in Matthew (Matthew 27:15-16)?

See you all tomorrow!

Mark 14

Hello all :)

Your reading for tonight is:

Mark 14 {We are skipping 13 because we talked about it in great detail in Matthew-JST}

While reading through the story of Christ's suffering in Gethsemane, see if you can locate the differences in Mark's account, from Matthew's which we have already gone over. If you need a refresher, you can compare to Matthew 26. What can we learn from these differences in accounts?

See you tomorrow!

Mark 12

Hello everyone :)

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Your reading for tonight is:

Mark 12

While reading, pay attention to Christ's reaction to the money changers in the temple, and also his reaction to the widow and her mite. What can we learn from these two types of people? Why was the Lord so pleased with the widow?

Hope to see you all tomorrow and as pumped and excited to participate as you all were on Friday :) What a wonderful day we had on Friday, the spirit was overwhelming with all of your testimonies!

I am glad you all had a great Halloween, and that you were all safe :) I am also glad to see that we have most of you with us now. I love when I get to see all your bright and shining faces :)

Your reading for tonight is:

Mark 10

What is it that the rich man asks of Christ? Is he able to give up everything to follow Christ? What can we learn about what it sometimes takes to follow Christ?

See you tomorrow!
