Hello!
Ok, so the plan for tomorrow is:
Pizza Make-up party @ 12:00 pm
My address is listed on the ward website, or you can give me a call if you get lost. You can find my phone number if you click the contact info button :)
Please make sure that you bring:
- A laptop or phone that connects to the internet. You need to be able to look up the makeup days that you need to do.
- A notebook to write down your makeup work, or you can bring your laptop and type up the makeup work and then print it out and bring it to me another day. Which ever one is easier for you :)
- Your scriptures. Most of the makeup work includes reading and looking up specific scriptures.
I will have my attendance records so that I can let you know what makeup work to do, so you won't have to worry about that!
If you are coming just to join the party, please bring your scriptures so that you can help those you need the makeup work. This is a day for makeup work, not just pizza, so be ready to help serve your fellow students :)
You are more than welcome to bring any treats or drinks that you would like, to share with everyone. I will be providing the pizza, but other than that, I will leave it up to you :)
See you tomorrow!

Hello everyone!
Long time no post!
I have been thinking a lot today about the questions that you posed on revelation. How we each receive revelation can be so different that sometimes it is hard to answer, directly, how we can know if it is the spirit, or just ideas that we have.
It is true that some will feel the spirit so strong it is almost as though he was talking to them, and there was no way to deny that it was the spirit, but more often than not, the spirit will speak in a still small voice.
At one point, Oliver Cowdery wished to translate the Book of Mormon, along with the prophet Joseph Smith. It was not his time yet, and the Lord admonished him to be patient, but he also gave him a great lesson in personal revelation, and I want to share what he was told by the Lord:
"Behold, you have not understood; you have supposed that I would give it unto you when you took no though save it was to ask me.
But behold, I say unto you, that you must study it out in your mind; then you must ask me if it be right, and if it is right I will cause that your bosom shall burn within you; therefore, you shall feel that it is right.
But if it be not right you shall have no such feelings, but you shall have a stupor of thought that shall cause you to forget the thing which is wrong;" -D&C 9: 7-9
While you are taking the challenge to decide if promptings are from the Lord, first ask yourself if they are good. If it is something simple, follow through with it and you will know after if you have followed the spirit because you will feel joy in your work, and confirmation that you have listened to the still small voice.
If you have a concern, and you wonder if it is of the Lord, take the time to ask him if he is sending you a warning, or if it is a thought from Satan. If it is of the Lord, you will find peace and answers. If it is of Satan, you will continue to feel anxious and not find peace.
Remember, and this is important! The spirit will NEVER give you feelings that make you doubt your self worth, make you feel ashamed or worthless. Those types of feelings ALWAYS come from Satan. If there is something that needs to change, the spirit will not make us feel worthless, but will give quiet encouragement.
This is just a little more on revelation. Of course, we talked today about ALL the many resources that the Lord has given us so that he can "direct our paths". If you have questions about revelation, try seeking it out through the scriptures and through general conference talks, and of course through prayer.
I promise that, over the weekend, if you really try to learn about revelation and to pay attention to the spirit's promptings, you will learn more about revelation, and how the Lord speaks to you personally through the spirit.
I will see you all tomorrow!
For your reading tonight, I would like you to take time to memorize one of the scripture masteries to the best of your ability, and to recognize its application in your life :)

Hello everyone :)
I really hope everyone is okay after all the crazy weather! Your reading for tonight is:
Habakkuk 1-3
This is a discussion between Habakkuk and heavenly father. When looking at their conversation, what do we learn about questions we might have for heavenly father? Is it appropriate to ask questions?
Can't wait to hear your thoughts on this after your reading :)

Hello everyone!
Tonight's reading is going to be awesome because it is the story of Jonah and the Whale. If you haven't heard it before, it is awesome, and if you have, you can always learn something new when you read it for yourself :) So the reading is:
Jonah (the whole book, which is actually really short)
After Jonah preaches to the people, and they choose to repent, what is Jonah's reaction. Why do you think he chose to feel this way?
Can't wait to hear your thoughts :)

Hey everyone :)
I hope you are having an amazing Easter Sunday, and that we all can remember what is most important about this holiday :)
The reading for tomorrow is Amos 1-3
What do you think Amos wanted them to know based on these verses. There are no wrong answers and I hope to hear what you think about it tomorrow :)
